This is a communication from Elk Grove Youth Soccer League:
Coaches,
Please keep your player passes. We would like to use them for Spring league, and they are also helpful for Indoor. If you do not plan on playing indoor or spring league, still keep the passes or hand them to each player's family and tell them to keep them if they want to play on another team.
Good luck to the teams who signed up for District Cup and Soccerfest!
Dave Groves,
EGYSL 1st V.P.

NEW!! Season Coaching Reminders:
1. Regarding the technical area (the coach's box).
Please only have coaches and players in this area, referee' find it difficult to know who are the coaches, so please have only the coaches in this area. The rules state that spectators must be inside the technical area but because we have more spectators than the technical area can accommodate we are asking spectators to be at least three (3) yards away from the touch line. This is for the safety of the players on the field and the spectators on the side lines. Also, don't forget spectators and coaches are not allowed behind the goals during the game.
2. Coach Uniform.
Coaches please wear your FRANKLIN Rec Club coaches polo to all games. As stated above it is difficult for the referee to know who is a coach and who isn't. Most club's make coaches shirt's a requirement for games. If your coaches do not have a polo...please email let us know.
3. Sideline behavior.
Coaches you are responsible for your entire sideline; asst. coaches, players, parents, relatives, welcome or unwelcome guests. As the games become more competitive in the second half of the season the intensity levels rise. Please remind everyone about the coach or parent sideline ethics agreement they signed at the start of the season. The referee's have be instructed to enforce the Zero Tolerance Policy during the season. If you or your asst coach are sent off / carded the minimum suspension will be 4 games. A parent will be suspended for the remainder of the season. Please do not let this happen to anyone in our club as a reminder our responsibility as coaches is to be level headed and control the game......Always keep in mind how you would expect your child to be treated if they were refereeing the game?
4. Enjoy the game....it is a beautiful game that is fun to watch, fun to play, and fun to referee!
